My little garden

Tuesday, March 24, 2015

Assalamualaikum,

dan hai,

It's been awhile from the last post right? Rather than cooking, baking or else. ehemm (movie-ing all day)

Part of it, I build a mini garden on spacious balcony. At first, I put it on our air-cond fan area outside our room. As they show progressions and grew so well, I transferred it to balcony area for getting more suns and space to grew more.

Just now, There are curry tree, chili tree (not yet produce), and bird's eye chili ( cili padi). I think it has been 6 months or above since I stay here, curry tree are my early starter to grow as I need it so much in a week especially when I cook curry (gulai ikan, pajeri terung, kari ayam). :D

Last few months, I want to find a good breed of kaffir lime tree. As early batch with curry, it can not survive in two months time. I thought it must been already dying when I bought it. So, just take time to find a good ones in Peladang. Usually there is flea market every weekend. I just bought there.

Alhamdulillah, everything is good, actually it only take your little time and effort to make this happens. So for me, I grew this for my preparations for next Eid-Fitr's day. Just need a to grow turmeric. I need turmeric's leaves for rendang.

My latest addition is to grow mint leaves. Hehe. For 1st phase I can call it succeed! Alhamdulillah. Can supply mint leaves to my morning tea. *happy dance*

For a new project, I tried a different type to grow the root. Also get it ready for leaving it in a week, so I have to prepare their own water supply. When I start with mint, it shows a good progress, the leaves became wider and look fresh! Just learnt here and there to make it happy greens alive! Maybe I will share with you how to do it on my first phase. Later k?

Ok that's for now. I hope it can stay still in a good conditions. Plan to go hometown for a week. Phewss~

SCAMMERS alert! Citibank Credit Card

Assalamualaikum,

Bila orang tu tunjuk gambar sat ja, hang da p berebut nak jugak! haha.. saya la tu, kisah Terjebak tu..

Bila kehendak dah menjangkaui kemampuan jadi ginilah, hutang sana sini, loan CC lagi loan personal lagi, jangan loan dengan AhLOng sudah ya, tak pasai tinggal merana xsudah. Cumanya, bila kita ingat dah reda psal scammers ni, macam tora datang lagi, kalau org tu kita kenal boleh la polis p tangkap, ni hang p report saja, xda hasil, duit hilang, bazir aayaq liuq ja. Oopps, kuar pulak slang utara. haha.

Kesinambungan cerita terjebak tu, saya nak share psal kejadian malang tak berbau di waktu orang sedap membuta. Kebetulan juga taktaulah sapa yang share yang saya terbaca Blog NameeRoslan psal isu scammer ini jugalah. Kisah NameeRoslan {sini}

Kita layang dulu screen short bawah ni, ak geram jugak, jumlah bukan sikit, cukup untuk kitorang beli return flight tiket ke Penang tau! T___T

3 page ni aje yang saya print screen, yang lain tu start dengan US$1 la kan, bila convert duit kita RM4  okay, dalam pkul 3 pagi, siapalah yang berjaga. Mula tu memang start dgn $1 then bila dah lepas payment tu, kemain diorg main swipe swipe ajer.. cehh..

Sedar pun bila dah bangun semayang subuh, macam biasalah kan bini selalu check HP laki kot ade something yg menarik, haha. ok tak, malam tu memang kitorang tidur awal, husband tak sihat, jadi isterilah tolong check handphone kot la ada apa2 perkara urgent pasal kerja.

Tapi bila buka tu, amik~ ada 7 transaction termasuklah yang ats tiga ni. Pkul 3 pagi?? heelloo~ takkanlah pepagi buta nak shopping ye dak, sedap ajer berdengkur lagu dondang sayang, mestilah no, this is something bad and it's real!!

So after solat, husband call centre, yang dorang kata transaction tu dah lepas pun, macam mana dorang boleh dapat no CC and security no kt belakang tu pun pelik.

So kita back to square again. Guna la wang kertas ya..

T____T

p.s Baru scam CC, belum lagi scam yang terjerat percintaan dlm FB, just wonder how we as woman boleh terpedaya dengan percaya 100%? siap meminjam dan menipu ahli keluarga. If one my family mem or myself yg terlibaty, I feel so betrayed, and I will betrayed to my husband like that, I just don't want to dissapont anyone.

Beehoon Soup with Homemade Fish Balls

Sunday, March 8, 2015

Assalamualaikum,

dan hai,

Occasionally when we had heavy rice-day, I decided to take it less into rice noodles. It's still the same, but, I believe I took it lesser than rice grains. I'm a little bit of health conscious okay. haha.

It's a simple dish, that you only need a soup, and some blanched rice noodles, some vegetables and not to forget Chili sambal  or spicy dip soy sauce.

So, last few days, Hazila from My Small Kitchen had posted Koay teow soup with homemade fish balls, and that's giving me an idea for a quick dinner dish. I always do some easy and fastest dish for dins. You can check Hazila's versions in HERE.

Let's see my simple Beehoon Soup with homemade fish balls recipe, below. My not very own recipe of fish balls you can click HERE. This time, the only difference is I add some veggies into it. Just small cut of carrot and celery. Taste? still good but with veggies, it's more healthy versions of fish balls.

Easy and Fast Baguette

Thursday, March 5, 2015

Assalamualaikum,

and hai,

I have no idea, how is the spirit of diligent came into myself. *lol* Looks alike you can call a spirit came to you by just like that! and so, I diligently made a baguette for first trial it's not bad though, hence there are need more improvement to make a good baguette.

The first step of all, I need a Google for searching a good recipe. A VERY good recipe for a beginner like me to succeed. Fortunately, I bumped into this website called SAVEUR {here}. It's food magazine, they had a chefs too.

So what is SAVEUR?

SAVEUR is a magazine for people who experience the world food first. Created to satisfy the hunger for genuine information about food in all its contexts, the magazines emphasizes heritage and tradition, home cooking, and real food, evoking flavors from around the world (including forgotten pockets of culinary excellence in the United States). It celebrates the cultures and environment in which dishes are created and the people who create them. It serves up rich, satisfying stories are complex, defining and memorable.  More about SAVEUR in HERE

Guys, it's a good website that I found, maybe it's already familiar to some of you. There had a lots of great recipe that need to try. I bet you got salivated and drooling all over, they really had a very nice and good pictures of food too.

My trial was not good enough, some mistake happens. haha. So let's share the baguette's recipe here.

Baguette

Source : Saveur ( Four-Hour Baguette )

**Altered a bit cause only two of us have need to finish it**
makes two baguette

Ingredients
1/2  cup   Luke warm water ( around 35-40°C)
1     tsp    instant yeast
2     cup   all-purpose flour ( approx. depends on dough)
1 1/2 tsp  salt
Canola oil for greasing
1/2  cup   ice cubes

Instructions
1. . Whisk together water and yeast in a large bowl; let sit until yeast is foamy, about 10 minutes. Add flour, and stir with a fork until dough forms and all flour is absorbed; let dough sit to allow flour to hydrate, about 20 minutes. Add salt, transfer dough to a lightly floured work surface, and knead until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes. Transfer dough ball to a lightly greased bowl; cover bowl with plastic wrap, and place bowl in a cold oven. Let dough rest until doubled in size, about 45 minutes.

 2. Transfer dough to a lightly floured work surface, and shape into an 8″ x 6″ rectangle. Fold the 8″ sides toward the middle, then fold the shorter sides toward the center. Return dough, seam side down, to bowl. Cover with plastic again, and return to oven; let sit until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

3. Remove bowl with dough from oven, and place a cast–iron skillet on the bottom rack of oven; position another rack above skillet, and place a baking stone on it.

4. Heat oven to 475°. Transfer dough to a lightly floured work surface, and cut into three equal pieces; shape each piece into a 14″ rope. Flour a sheet of parchment paper on a rimless baking sheet; place ropes, evenly spaced, on paper. Lift paper between ropes to form pleats; place two tightly rolled kitchen towels under long edges of paper, creating supports for the loaves. Cover loosely with plastic wrap; let sit until it doubles in size, about 50 minutes.

5. Uncover; remove towels, and flatten paper to space out loaves. Using a sharp razor or paring knife, slash the top of each baguette at a 30–degree angle in four spots; each slash should be about 4″ long. Using the corner of the parchment paper as a guide, slide the loaves, still on the parchment paper, onto the baking stone. Place ice cubes in skillet (this produces steam that lets the loaves rise fully before a crust forms). Bake the baguettes until darkly browned and crisp, about 30 minutes; cool before serving.

Good Luck!

ULTIMATE ways to be TOP blogger!

Salam dan hai,

Happy Chinese New year!!

It's not late for wishing my Chinese's friends.

Well, my holidays just spent at home and doing the same routine. As my husband didn't get any straight days leave on last week. Half day working in the office! :D

My tryout recipe turns just so-so as I bake and cook some separate dishes straight away from other bloggers. Repeating a recipe will do soon, insyaAllah. Haha, mistakes do happens when you're not ready and not planning it well. Learn from mistake is the best isn't it?

Fine interest in blogging

**continue**

sorry for missing in action for awhile, hihi..

Set A Goal

It's tend to your ultimate goal in blogging, or the reason why you had started in writing online obviously. In this kind of medium, there are lots of pros and cons. But when it is up to their personal writer or blogger, we have the right to choose what kind of medium or genre you want to read or tend to blog about it.

A soft reminder for my self, what you wrote or what you express on social network, especially in blogging, it's easily to spread by readers when they just had click ONE button, 'SHARE'. Therefore, these will be serious action, serious responsibility when you publish some 'INFO' that will driving you into false or true statement. Beware guys!

Back to the square, it is you what you wrote, and it is you to what you have decided on story line or statement you shared.  Then, it's your goal afterall!

Spices of Genre

Comedy, daily journals, cookbook or etc. Do at your best genre to kill it and nailed it. As for mine, you can see, this, my afterall that sometimes include it all. No specific genre that I carry it along for a blog. Most of the times I would love to share recipes and my experiment or anything that could benefit others.

Hence, I don't have any talent in writing but, you can, you can create your style of writing by adding spices, yeah, right away! But don't add too much that you accidentally revamp the whole structure sentences and will misunderstood by readers. Just try the easy peasy one, such as some sense of humor.

Earning Cash

This is some of famous blogger do as their full-time blogger, earning from the advertorial post they wrote about. For beginner like me? You just have a long way to go baby, unless there are quick steps that you can gain thousands of follower visit your blog on every seconds!

1) Repetitively do a blogwalking - You just need hop to hop another each blog by help them click their advertorial campaign banner, and do please drop a comment!

2) Start syncing your blog with other social media - Google plus is a good help for you to grow, don't forget to share on each post you had published in pinterest and twitter, Facebook too (if you don't mind to share with your family members).

Exaggerate Headline

Yes, you're right. Especially for a NOOB. In search engine, there are lots of blogpost, article and so much news that literally the same, but one that be caught your attention is the headline of the post.

because I am, when I do searching or when using Google, I tend to use strong keywords, e.g ultimate, the best ever, guaranteed . It is kind of promising and convincing people who are looking the right one. Nevertheless, it's an indirect way of promoting your blog and to keep traffic high.

That's my simple tips on blogging, and I am pretty sure you had done almost of it, hihi. Suppose I should post it last week, but I've been so busy with some jobs. I hope this will help you to keep blogging and keep traffic too.

Good Luck!

P/S It's so late that, Chinese already waiting their Chap Go Meh (15 days after Lunar New Year day)
