Lemon Butter Cake with Poppy Seeds

Assalamualaikum,..


dan hai!


I couldn't believe it for myself as I can do this cake for ad-hoc without referring any recipes! yeay, kudos to me! haha..

Feeling so much like Anna Olson, yeah just for last night only, with the only basic think you should have for a butter cake, cake flour, sugar, butter and eggs. As simple as that you will have a moist butter cake.

But, I'd just remember when I passing one bakery sections in the supermarket that they have instant premix lemon with poppy seeds butter cake. Maybe I could add in some poppy seeds for 'pop' tasted when you are eating.

That's all the ideas came into my head last night and was determined enough to bake it one. haha. Afterall when it's up to me, I do mild taste of lemon, not so tangy at all!




Lemon Butter Cake with Poppy Seeds Recipes

Ingredients:

2  Cup  Cake Flour
1  Cup  Butter ( I used Anchor)
1  Cup  Sugar
3   large eggs
1  tsp    vanilla essence
approx 4 tbs lemon juice / half of lemon
1 whole lemon zest
A pinch of salt
2 tbs of poppy seeds

Methods:

1) Pre-heat oven at 160°C degrees.
2) Cream butter and sugar until it became fluffy.
3) Gradually add in eggs, vanilla essence, salt, lemon zest and lemon juice. Whisk using mixer for a 20 sec not less or more.
4) Fold in sifted cake flour into batter until it blend well, and lastly add in poppy seeds.
5) Lines bake tin with baking paper, I used two sets of loaf tin. And oven to go for about 25-30mins. Depends on your oven performance, some might take it early than 25 mins.

P.s my first taste about this cake was amazing as the textures are extremely soft and so moist. Plus I don't need any buttermilk, sour cream or yogurt for this recipe cause it turns so well and taste so good! Owh I don't compliment myself, but my taste sense already evolve who actually praising a recipe that had lemon inside. I'd just don't believe myself for liking tangy taste!

dan hai!


Bukan senyap saja, post kuih kasturi pun tak tahu berapa lama yang dok peram sampai kuih kasturi pun lama dah habis, hihi.

Untuk hari Jumaat ni, kita sejukkan mata dengan terapi pokok tanaman kebun sekangkang kera saya di mahligai awan biru. Hebat kan?! Di awan biru pun pokok pun boleh hidup tau.. hahaha..

Jom layan gambar ciput je, ingat dah ada banyak gambar masuk ke dalam PC, bila nak upload jadi 2 keping je, sabar ye kengkawan.. Saya jamu dua gambar ni saja dulu..



Anak pokok Sawi
 Anak pokok sawi ni disemai lepas kecewa kat pasar tiada sayur sawi segar. Sayur sawi yang ada pun kelayuan. Tak padan nak beli, bila beli jadi kekuningan lepas 2-3 hari.. haha

Ingatkan tak menjadi, disebabkan saya cuba semai benih pokok kucai tak naik langsung, rasanya kena cuba juga cara macam nak semai pokok sawi macam gambar di atas tu. Mungkin berjaya hasilkan pokok kucai!


Anak Pokok Lemon
Alhamdulillah, rasa teruja bila anak biji benih buah lemon ni berjaya sprouting, teruja sebab proses scratch from basic, peringkat germination tu paling sabar sangat² tau.. haha.. Cara-cara nak sprouting biji lemon tu kalau saya rajin saya share untuk post berikutnya.. Kalau tak sabar nak tunggu saya yang macam siput ni boleh google di Youtube ada banyak cara. keywords dia.. How to Grow Lemon Tree from Seed..

Kalau berjaya jadi anak pokok nanti, insyaAllah nak bawa balik ke semenanjung, bagi pindahkan ke tanah yang lebih sihat. Boleh kongsi juga dengan jiran tetangga.. Hihi.. Boleh juga raksasa kecik di Nilai makan buah lemon! haha.. **Anak buah saya la tu, taktahulah genetik dari mana yang boleh petik buah limau kasturi/limau sambal, dia makan terus! haha.. kalau saya dah menggeletis kenyit mata sebab masam ya ampun!

I'm not a fan of sour, less interest on jeruk thingy and everything bout sour things. Tapi anak-anak buah ni sakan.. haha.. sama macam pakcik dia, which is my husband. :P

Rindu pula dengan keletah diorang tu.

Actually my husband brought back a large plastic case around 2-3 kilograms of Mung bean or Kacang hijau. As my previous project on growing taugeh is UNSUCCESSFUL. haha.. okay, it's a lame!

Sprouting mung beans it's easy but, I just don't know why it couldn't grows more and sprout. it's just dead! kesian juga rasanya. Teruk pun ada disebabkan ini projek Sains darjah 4 agaknya.. tak ingat dah.. haha..

Alkisah bagaimana sebungkus kacang hijau dibawa pulang yang transform jadi kuih kasturi.

Resepi asal dari Kak Noor, biasalah kan, jarang-jarang post blog buat jalan-jalan ziarah ke rumah kawan-kawan. hihi.

Habis pun kuih ni, buat frozen je, mudah nak bagi husband bawak bekal share dengan kawan sekerja. Kagum juga bila mat saleh pun pandai makan, hahaha..


Kuih Kasturi a.k.a Kuih Rengas (kacang hijau)

Bahan-bahan Inti :

2       cawan    kacang hijau (direndam selama 1-2 jam)
1 ½   cawan   gula pasir
1       sdt         garam
3       sdb        tepung gandum
 Air untuk merebus

Cara-cara
1)  Rebus kacang hijau yang telah direndam terlebih dahulu, rebus hingga kacang lembut.
2)  Masukkan gula pasir dan garam, dan kacau hingga air kacang berkurangan. Kemudian masukkan tepung gandum. Kacau hingga adunan menjadi paste pekat dan keluar bubble pertama padam api. Biarkan sejuk.
3)  Bentukkan inti macam gambar di atas, atau bentuk ikut suka.

Nota: saya buat dalam ¾ sudu makan. Gemuk juga hasilnya.. hahaha.. Untuk 2 cawan saya dapat 45 biji ngam ngam sui~


Bahan-bahan untuk gorengan bersalut:

1   cawan   Tepung Gandum
½  sdb        Tepung beras
½  sdb        planta
secubit garam
1  sdt         gula
½ sdt         serbuk kunyit
1  cawan   air sejuk
Minyak untuk menggoreng

Cara-cara
1) Panaskan minyak terlebih dahulu.
2) Bancuh semua bahan kering dan planta secara sekata. Kemudian masukkan air sejuk ½ cawan air sejuk terlebih dahulu. Kita kawal kelikatan bancuhan tepung tu. Agak-agak pekat juga macam nak goreng tempura konsep dia, haha
3) Celup bahagian inti kedalam bancuhan tepung dan goreng.
4) Goreng setengah masak macam gambar di bawah untuk difrozenkan kan. 4-5 Ketul goreng sampai masak untuk kudapan berdua.. hehehe

Hilang lagi, macam biasalah idea nak menulis tu tak kunjung tiba, bila nak celoteh tu masa yang free sangatlah kan,

Ucapan untuk esok Malam Israk Mikraj, insyaAllah sampai juga kita ke 27 Rejab dan didoakan anda berjaya puasa sunat esok, insyaAllah, dan hari ni Jumaat, jangan lupa perabis surah Al-Kafh okay? hihi..

Okaylah nak cerita for last few weeks saya buat kerja-kerja out of box yang jadi bidang terjun, just helping close, good, best friend of mine, haha.. It's just quite stressful and NOOB when I'm into designing thingy, but she's just say okay at all so I'd just try my best..

There are history behind it about Manees Oven, on how it was born and how it's spread so quickly. Doing real business is one of my ambition, one of my interest in cooking and baking, it's on my old good days, childhood's dream yaww~

Seeing Manees Oven that fully homemade by friend a.k.a my two distance cousins, (dua pupu) I just want to give full support to her. Yeah, the excitement of doing business. Happy I must say!

Everything via what's Apps, email and a program that give me headache for a day! haha.. Few steps that came with complications, yeah, I couldn't download photoshop trials at their website! and google for alternatives are so dead! Plus the social media vectors that had to download separately. So it's a newbies doing outside her scope so the results are,..













My too simple design, too simple and it's too simple.. haha, oh I forgot to mention, she wanted a sticker for her pineapple tart and some traditional pastry onto a case or bottle. And so on, a design to print onto adhesive stcker is a must! so coming with this,..

So, the designs evolve to this,..

 Later, it's quite simple and plain too, so she wanted a very bold and attractive. I'd just want to make it simple and clear what you're planning to place is an info..

But I do thinks it's a common designs, yeah, do you think the same?

Roti Sardin Gulung Rangup!

Assalamualaikum,

dan hai,

Lama dah tak tulis resepi kat sini, resepi mudah dan ringkas, ada je lebihan sardin dan roti dirumah semua boleh jadi, tinggal kerajinan saja. hihi.

Cuti Wesak dan hari buruh yang lepas menjadikan hujung minggu kami panjang, belum lagi hujung bulan ini cuti Hari Kaamatan or Harvest's Festival plus cuti sekolah pertengahan tahun berkunjung tiba serentak. Seronok. Tapi kami bertapa sajalah di pulau ni. hihi.. Tiket Flight mahal!

Aktivti tu biasalah, rasa nak mandi laut, kami bangun awal pagi siapkan bekal, dan gerak. Pukul 8 macam tu masih awal lagi kat sini, bila waktu cuti paginya pukul 12! Tak ada orang lagi, so tak adalah nak segan sangat mandi kat laut! haha..

Okay, nak cerita pasal Roti Goreng Sardin, kami jarang beli sardin disebabkan makanan dalam tin dan proses, saya okay saja. Tapi kebetulan minggu ni memang sangat rajin katakan, kita buat sardin malam lepas, breakfast goreng bihun dan roti sardin gulung buat bekal.





Roti Sardin Gulung Rangup!


Bahan- Bahan

Roti Sandwich
Sambal Sardin yang telah dilenyek
Telor 2 biji yang dikocok
Breadcrumb/oats/nestum

Minyak panas untuk menggoreng

Cara-cara

1) Roti sandwich dilenyek terlebih dahulu dengan roller, bagi mudah proses menggulung.
2) Letak sardin dalam 1/2 inci di bahagian tepi dan gulung ke dalam, macam gulung tikar. Hihi. Buat sampai roti atau sardin habis atau buat sampai jumlah yang dikehendaki.
3) Sediakan dua pinggan berasingan yang ada telur telah dikocok (basah) dan breadcrumb (kering).
4) Pastikan minyak benar-benar panas dan boleh menggoreng.
5) Celup gulungan roti satu persatu ke dalam telur bagi semua permukaan basah dan salutkan ke dalam breadcrumb. Bila permukaan basah dilitupi breadcrumb, boleh goreng sehingga keperangan.
6) Sedia untuk dihidang!
